A Cool Find in the John Joseph Craven Papers…

This note on the back of a Confederate one dollar bill, addressed to Dr. Craven, appears to be signed by Clement C. Clay, another Confederate who was imprisoned in Fortress Monroe with Jefferson Davis and cared for by Dr. Craven.
